Default My QQ facing a massive overshove all in 10nl

I raise to $.40 UTG, and the guy on the button shoves all in for $10. No reads. What do I do? Call and hope he's gone mad or sit and wait for a better opportunity til I have some reads etc

I call. Against an unknown at those stakes I think you're at least breaking even against his range.

call or fold depending on how desensitized you are to those stakes. it is minimally +EV.

I really doubt he is shoving AA or KK like that. More likely to be some mid pp that he hates playing post flop so he just shoves like a monkey.

Shoving over a 4x raise with a 100bb stack is pretty bad imo. So we have to assume that the opponent is pretty awful. I would assume that he hates playing mid pps post flop because he thinks everyone is always sucking out on him. Common donk strategy, especially if this guy has been playing sngs is to start shoving mid pps and to hell with your equity vs calling ranges because lol what is equity.

I mean it could be AA. It could be 4-7. I put the bulk of his range on 77-JJ until he proves otherwise to me. If he flips over AA make sure you take a note saying the stakes you played him at and that he made a weird shove with AA in case you ever play him again.

There are times when these players who don't play much get tilted because you are "raising every hand" and are just trying to tell you to stop it in there own donkey ways.

Over all if calling this is -ev it's only marginally so and this isn't really a situation that will arise enough to affect your winrate much imo.

Here is my opinion about the matter and it should count because I'm a microlimit grinder. It's probably AK, AQ, AJ, or pairs 88+. Probably not AA or KK.

Although I have a friend who plays NL10-NL25 who always open shoves AA, KK preflop, because he says there are people who are willing to gamble with anything. And no one can give him credit for AA or KK, because that is not a rationale way of playing those hands. So it must be something weaker, so he will get calls from lot of weaker hands, like AQ, JJ, TT. He says it's +EV and I kind of believe him.

He had AA. I made a note. I'll bust him later
