Villain is 40/3/1.4 over 116 hands
I had a descent table image, not getting too out of line
His bets and button limp looked a little weak and my intention on calling the flop was to bluff the turn.
Was it that noticable I didn't have shit?
What about my line looked so inticing to call my river value bet?
Would anyone call this?
Im just perplexed!

check calling looks weak, look at his PT stats I mean his VPIP is 40 so you should expecthim to be a calling station, I'm pretty sure I might call if I thought you were a bluffy player or one on tilt...

and yea, from the way you played it it really looks like you've got sit cuz your betting pattern makes no sense... unless you're slowplaying a twopair or sth... not like any of that stuff matters against a calling station who will call pretty much any bet you make

I mean I've had people call with worse...

1) Your villain fits the profile of a loose passive (calling station). These are the kind of players we value bet light. We don't bluff them because they will look you up with junk slightly better than yours.

2) Often players this loose are not thinking nearly deeply enough to alter their play to someone's table image. These are the kind of players who call PFRs from 5/4 nits with Q9 and stack off on a Q45 board, so forget thinking that your table image has any impact on this villain.

At low stakes, on a dry board, this line generally screams "I have a set."

But this guy was far from a solid TAgg, which is why you got looked up. He was probably barely aware that he WAS looking you up. The only other thing I would add is that your line makes more sense in a pot that was raised pre-flop.

 I usually don't feel it's worth it to take stabs at unraised pots without a read that folds too much postflop. You get called pretty light often, especially if you wait till the turn/river to do it.

Lessons learned I guess. I love playing against these kind of player and I eventually stacked him for 2 buy-ins after i realized his fold button was broken. Just wanted some feedback to make sure this wasnt an insta-call for someone with any sense! All insight on the matter has been appreciated fellas
