What do you guys think the most common mistake is.
I would say my biggest mistake was playing too many hands. Especially in tournament play.
I think another common mistake is overplaying med and small pocket pairs.

My ratio for preflop hands are 6fold:1play.
The most common mistake I see is deviating from the tight-aggressive strategy that is most successful.
My biggest mistake of the night was going all in on a mere two pair. Got beat by a bigger two pair. TWO PAIR IS AN AVERAGE HOLD EM HAND, DON'T OVERPLAY IT!

I see about 25%-20% of flops though that seems to be getting smaller because I'm only playing stronger hands and just playing them a lot more aggressive. With this said I think peoples biggest mistake is slowing getting worked into a pot with a couple, couple dollar bets and then getting raised fairly big on the river and calling for no other reason than you have so much invested in the pot already. I seem to make a lot of money off retards doing this. If that is a leak in your system I suggest stopping it right away because I could see it costing you major amounts of money.
Another big mistake I think people make is letting the blinds see the hands for free. If I'm going to play it I will usually raise it enough where the blinds arent prone to call and out draw me on crap. Basically I see people limping way too much. I used to do this myself constantly but since I have switched I have done tons better. It seems in the beginning when you start playing up to about your first 2000 hands or so you are still relatively nervous while playing. I may have taken longer than usual to calm down but once you do and arent nervous while playing it is just so much easier to play right. I used to find myself constantly folding to bets where now I am almost sure I had them beat.
Be the one betting and not the caller and don't hesistate to reraise when people are throwing down mini-puss to full puss bets. I see so many people when someone bets 50 cents they always just call and rarely reraise even when they have em beat and then end up getting outdrawn later. I almost never do this. I am either going to reraise at least to 2 dollars or fold and rarely will just call 50 cents. That being said I never bet 50 cents to begin with. Couple bucks seems to be my new minimum after the flop. Read Fnords post on why a dollar bet is better than 50 cents.
1 more thing I do is semi bluff like I have made the hand when I think people have me beaten currently but on a fairly weak hand.
Maybe I posted too much here but those are my thoughts.

Two pair is a strong hand on the flop if both pair come from your hand. About a 1 in 20 shot of making that two pair or better with two unpaired cards. Certainly a better hand than Top Pair Top Kicker.

You might be folding too easy to the monster 50c bet, giving up too much value particularly against players that will make this bet regularly with a busted hand. In general if I have anything or any kind of draw or any card in the deck that helps me I'll call that 50c and look to outdraw the idiot that made that bet. On a strong hand or bluff/semi-bluff I'll raise. However, if I got nothing it's a fold. This was what I was trying to get at in another thread...

What about the Small Blind.
I have a hard time folding, unless there is a raise. I have made many mistakes when I called the BB and caught a small pair. Then got burned. What is a good strategy for playing in the SB.
