Villain is a 4 tabling TAG (15/11). I have only been at the table with him for 2-3 orbits, and i haven't done anything besides take down the blinds. I haven't seen him do anything either
bet sizing? was shoving the turn a mistake?

wow man if he folded this is the sickest hand ever
but on the "insanity" scale, it looks like the bottom part of his range is AJs... so this has to be pretty high up there
|
|
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

Note once he raises the flop you have to change his range and not overwhelm yourself with the fact that this flop hit your range hard.
Given his raise size though it may be a donk who doesn't understand pot control trying to see a cheap showdown with his Ax. Hands I doubt we see.
-A8, J8 (considering how tight he is and his flop raise size)
- draws (flop raise size again).
Although i wouldn't be too weirded out if we saw these hands.
How long did he take before calling the flop threebet? Very important imo.

If you had AA/JJ or any other strong hand, would you really 3-bet the flop like this IN position? The board isnt very draw heavy, so I can't see a strong hand playing it as you did.
I might even call you light on the turn.. based on your flop play... but if you play very strong hands this way in position, then I guess its ok for balance. Though I think you're getting called.
I agree with Irisheyes.... I think its a trap as well

sorry for the triple post but i think 9-10s/8-8 are the two most likely hands villain could be holding. The "outliers" in his range seem closely balanced to calling/folding to my push (A-J/A-8/J-8)
10-9 may be kind of sketchy though.
btw griffey i would probably go nuts with a strong hand IP like this (since apparently i would do it as a bluff too)

Ok well this makes it better for sure. I guess I would almost always flat call a c/r with a strong hand, and wait for their turn lead to get it in, so I couldnt bluff like this.
And I agree with ISF that the quick call makes it better for us.

Given results, you were almost definitely ahead here actually. There's no way he's folding AJ/A8 here so he's got to have T9s.
lol, still fun hand though.
edit: trip beat me to it

LOL. Very good point ISF. I'm going to assume he had QTs because that makes this hand awesome again.

Man I just really doubt he had a draw, you just don't see that raise size with a draw and its not like this is 2knl where that kind of raise with a draw would have merit. I'm interested to see if he did in fact fold Ax or something?

huh? no, our range is alot wider than opp's preflop and then given flop and turn action our range crushes opp's range.
ie we have more hands in our range that have hit this flop than opp. Opp does not have AA or JJ here like ever

Wtf. Sick bluff. If villain is capable of folding AJ here it´s +EV imo. Though i think he shouldn´t fold AJ.
