i picked up so many outs on the turn here, and the lead bet was so soft, i couldnt help but think i missed a great opportunity to raise softly for value. any other analysis would be good, too.

BB ($18.50)
UTG ($37.15)
MP ($6.20)
CO ($35.30)
Hero ($13.05)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 5, A. MP posts a blind of $0.10.
UTG raises to $0.4, MP (poster) calls $0.30, CO calls $0.40, Hero calls $0.40, 2 folds.

Flop: ($1.75) 6, 7, Q (4 players)
UTG checks, MP checks, CO checks, Hero checks.

Turn: ($1.75) 8 (4 players)
UTG checks, MP bets $0.4, CO calls $0.40, Hero calls $0.40, UTG folds.

River: ($2.95) 4 (3 players)
MP checks, CO bets $1.6, Hero raises to $4.9, MP folds, CO calls $3.30.

Final Pot: $12.75

Results in white below:
CO has 5s 3h (straight, eight high).
Hero has 5h Ah (straight, eight high).
Outcome: CO wins $6.37. Hero wins $6.37.

sorry no reads. but, i figured i had 30% equity on the turn. i couldve bumped this to $1.25 with implieds, right? too aggressive? was c/call better?

flop is better to bet at imo..less cards they can connect with and you have at least 30% vs made hands.
turn seems ok, donks play big hands like this i guess, unless your read is he's weak.

standard play for me is to bet flush draws. so, i was kind of "changing it up." the other reason for me not betting flop was i was well in position and there was a 4 way pot to a 4X raise pre flop. why drive customers out now? pot was plenty big, imo.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!

I don't think there's a need to "change it up" to players who don't adapt well (if at all). If the pot is plenty big, why not bet at it and try to win it instead of having to make your hand.
