I did misplay this one but I am not sure how. How to deal with this on turn. The comments are made about the guy I am against and he didnt seem like a really good player, but no solid reads, I just got to the table.

you raised $5 PF
you raised $10 on flop on a $15 pot (2/3 bet), one call
you check on turn and it's checked behind on a $35 pot
you check on river then call $15 for a $65 pot total

i can see how that 10 on the turn was unwelcome, but with top 2 pair there, i make a serious bet, probably at least twice as large as my last one ($20 here but I would probably bet the pot), to get the hand moving. in this case he probably would have folded, resulting in a net loss compared to the actual winning that included more action on the river. if you are going to check the turn like that, do it because you're trying to check raise. you were probably going to call him on the turn if he bet anyway, and in those types of situation with decent but not great hands, it's nearly always better to bet than call. especially if you'd been the agressor in the hand already.
In answer to your question... it depends...

You got lucky that your opp kinda sucked, (if i were him) I would have put in a 25$ bet in position there on the 4 to the strait board with any two and probably have taken it down. Thats why you gotta bet the turn, even though the T is a scare, to see where you're at.
