Wife and kid have left for the weekend so I am going to do a little marathon. It's 2pm and I am going to bust out I would hope to be a good 10 hrs of total play time between now and bed, 4 tabling until 3am. Breaks every hour or so. I will post progress here and any interesting hands including anything for large pots. Stay tuned. No targets to hit except focus and good play.

Things I need to remind myself of:

1) don't call 3bets and play fit or fold on the flop
2) 3betting light OOP vs guys stealing and fold 3bet of 70% have a stronger range when they call.
3)bluffing stations is never a good idea

Std Tagg (52K hands 22/16 4bb/100), I pretty much need to call the raise after checking the turn right? I think C/B is the only way to play the turn after calling the flop to get worse hands to make this mistake no?

villain is typical Saturday depositor with little hands 42/20 no aggression and 200 hands all played today at this table. I have him labeled as an ABC.

Blew off a stack by misclick calling a 3bet out of the blinds with 75s and flopped a FD vs a fish and a Lagg. Flopped a FD and insta shoved into fish's KK and Laggs set. Gotta quit with the misclicks and trying to save a few bucks in the pot when I do

VS Laggy reg. He's obv "raising to see where he's at" so I think I played this best. I took a bit of time before I bet the river to lok like I was thinking and bet like I didn't want a call. Seems fine no?

Yes/No? fishy opponet has anything here. I can see an overpair or Air/gutshot on two streets. I block instead of a C/C and figure I may fold out hands I beat but they wont bet anyway and an overpair/2pr may bet more and it'd be a tough call. any thoughts?

AA hand I'd put out some kind of small bet on the turn. Problem is once you call his raise your range is smallish. If you want to represent a bluff (KQ maybe) then maybe something like $10 on turn.
Just playing to improve.

hope ur having fun during this marathon jyms

my first thought on the AA hand was that you should definitely bet the turn, because in general when we have the nuts we should be making sure to get bets in on every street.

random thoughts:
-nut hands in BB range: A7/AT/77/TT. that's like only 8 combos and he'd almost never check the turn with them.
-he isn't likely to continue with his bluffs once he checks the turn.
-if you were going to bluff you'd probably start on the turn, not check behind
-KQ/98/turned FD hands make up the majority of his range that would call a turn bet. we should bet the turn for like $16-17 to induce the maximum calls. occasionally he'll check/raise some of those draws too, as long as we don't make a huge turn bet.

If you bet the turn make it small. I like how he played the hand.

I think that the turn min raise is just a feeler bet. He expects me to call or raise only with an A or better. If I fire the turn he gets away from his hand with no more bets going in the pot. I think I may have gotten maximum value from his range of hands that raises that flop, that small. as played I got a hero call. No way he calls a turn bet, and if he ever has anything he's looking to C/R the turn with, we get it in on the river.

Some of these turn check backs are tilting me!

AJ hand - Raise flop, bet turn, bet river. As played, bet turn.

AQ hand - you have the best hand when he folds this turn, but I don't mind it, he might call it off with a draw

AAA hand - flop flat is fine, but bet turn and stop getting fancy! Just cause you need to "bet turn" doesn't mean you need to bet 3/4 or pot. A smallish half pot bet is fine even sometimes, and lets you bluff cheaper later.

i've found that just about every poker player starts playing like crap if they play too many hands and too long.

after like 3k hands you ever notice that you THINK you have a certain hand at a table and play accordingly then 2 streets later you notice your eyes were completely fucking wrong and you've been pure bluffing? if that happens stop immediately, have a beer and chillout, tomorrow's another day!
