my only read is he's 30/6/1.7 after 350 hands, and limp-folds a lot pre flop.
also im 25/20, and have isolated him and taken down pots either pre or on the flop or turn a few times.

do you call there? I did, thinking maybe he's getting mad at me, and/or overvaluing top pair and I can fold to a river push.
should I just fold? am I being too cautious?

ugh i fold. He's too passive and loose enough to see Q9 and 97 here a lot. As well as other hands like JT or 88.
Check out the new blog!!!

check/minraise and then betting out the next street is a very strong line from this guy. I think you are behind most of the time. Not only that but its way behind or a little ahead.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

bigspenda73: But how much did you win?

I find I lose some big pots when I think that weak/passive opps I've been pushing around are finally playing back at me. Usually they're not, they actually have a hand.

QFT. These guys aren't waiting around forever to finally push at you with nothing. They've been waiting for a hand. The key to being profitable when pushing these weak-asses around is to not actually pay them off when they finally get the goods.

ya, I agree this is a key lesson. once in a while I have a hand where I ignore this and rationalize it as fighting against my image, but you're all right, ppl are usually more stuck in there ways.

id felt a set here without thought but not two pair, especially when the loose/passives come out firing. top two is an ugly ugly spot here (depsite opp having that etc)
