Preflop: Hero is SB with Q, K. Hero posts a blind of $1.
UTG calls $2, 2 folds, Hero (poster) raises to $9, 1 fold, UTG calls $8.

Flop: ($22) K, 5, 6 (2 players)
Hero bets $15, UTG raises to $30, Hero calls $15.

Turn: ($82) T (2 players)
Hero bets $62, UTG raises to $124, Hero calls $62.

River: ($330) 6 (2 players)
Hero bets $42, UTG calls $36 (All-In).

Final Pot: $408

Results in white below:
Hero has Qh Kd (two pair, kings and sixes).
UTG has Td Kc (two pair, kings and tens).
Outcome: UTG wins $402. Hero wins $6.

So, he'll minraise the flop with TPWK. How bad is my turn bet here? I have odds for my call as long as I'm not up against the ace of hearts, and frankly, I don't put him on the flush draw here, and my intuition is telling me if my heart hits my Q will be good. My opinion of the hand is, if the turn was a non-heart, then bet/folding is optimal. Since I have a nice redraw if I am behind, check/calling here is in order, and I will probably save myself some money. If he pushes I wont have odds for my flush redraw and hence I will fold. He might even be polite and checkbehind the river for me, fearing that I have AA.

Okay, now that you have whatever read you can, below is the very next hand facing the same villain, after I reload my chips:

Hand 2:

Flop: ($18) 8, 3, 6 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $12, SB calls $12.

Turn: ($42) 5 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $42, SB raises to $84, Hero ...

If this hand was isolated, the turn checkraise is obv a fold for me. But, yeah.

I get mad when I play bad, not my opponents!

hand one I fold to the turn raise.

hand 2 I call the turn and reevaluate. I don't think a club matters much on the river. Hopefully he leads small and you can get a cheap showdown.

Hand 1: I can't imagine a worse hand calling your turn bet. If you c/c a reasonable bet looking for a heart/Q you can keep the pot more manageable.

Hand 2: It's going to cost you the rest of your stack to find out if you're over pair is good. He either thinks your getting carried away with AK/KQ or has you smoked if you have an overpair. Based on hand 1, I''d have to lay it down, espeically since 97 and 65 just pulled way ahead of me. Considering that he got the vast majority of his money in way ahead in hand 1 I'd fold.

hand 1: i like c/c the turn more, for reasons already posted.
hand 2: i think you should fold. if he isn't paying attention, then the check-raise is for value and he wants you to call, because he just hit some straight, set, or 2 pair. if he IS paying attention, then he would likely put you on tilt, and has no reason to CR when he could keep letting you bluff all your chips away, and perhaps do a blocking bet on the river.

(oy, hand 2 is so much easier to play in limit...3bet damn it!!!)

I don't think your turn bet in hand 1 has much value. I'd just check and hope for a free / cheap river card and showdown. This is not the type of hand you want to build a big pot with.

Hand 2 seems like an easy fold.
