OK, I'm on serious tilt right now and just want to check up if I am thinking about this right.
6 handed 50nl 100bb eff
MP1 raises to 1.75
I am the sb with JJ I reraise to 7 dollars
MP1 calls (he is unknown)
flop is AAx rainbow
I check
I should check a lot of times here right? Calling my 3bet pf I put him on something like AJ+, QQ, KK and TT maybe 99. Does that range sound about accurate for your regular 50NLer? Through this last day of tilt I have found myself adapting villains range to what I would like it to be. As in throwing in some SC here if I was in a hand like this but I think it is highly unlikely.
A continuation bet by me folds anything that completely missed which in my opinion is a very small part of his range. It is a way behind/way ahead situation so a check is good here correct?
After replies I will move on to later streets. These next couple of days I am not going to play a lot and am just going to try to post a bunch of hands and thoughts to help me sort this through.
*edit for having position all screwed to hell*

Uhmm are you in position or OOP? You said you 3-bet from the small blind with JJ but then you have MP1 checking first on the flop and your whole analysis is with you having position.

I think you want to win this pot here. Cbet, put no more money in after that.

only if better hands don't fold. KK/QQ prob don't like this flop. i'm not saying they will auto-fold, but they sure don't like it. hands with K's or Q's in them might hit on the turn too. i agree with euph in that you should go ahead and bet this flop and give up after that.

Do we know anything about villain? Some 50NL villains cant fold to (reasonable) 3bets pre, some can, it helps if we know which this guy is.

the 3-bet is a little large. I like betting this flop since i'm almost always betting it with air.

Bet this flop and shut down turn unimproved. I bet this flop with 23 and AA in your spot.

I agree. Our hand has showdown value, but is basically dead if we get called. There aren't many cards that can come that will improve villain's hand. I also prefer a check without any information regarding villain's 3bet calling range.
With 10-10 though, i am usually betting so its a close decision.
