Well, I rather ask this here in the shorthanded forum but if you want to move this to the Beginners Forum then so be it.

I only just started to dabble in playing 6-max ring games and one of my biggest leaks is playing with OOP with TPGK/TPTK. Reading the HH on this forum and by judging the play of Fnord or ilikeaces86 I noticed that they often check/call all streets when they have TP unless a scare card fells (i.e. Ace, flush board).

Of course I would like to keep the pot small when I only have TP but what are your criteria for check/calling TP?? Call every bet smaller than the pot?

I believe that I leave an awful lot of money behind by betting TP OOP. Those who call have me often beat and I don’t make any money out of those who fold.

On the other hand when in position and I have TPGK/TPTK and confronted by a weak looking bet I almost always raise to find out where I am unless its someone who continuously c/bets.

I know this is a basic question but this is a big leak in my game and surely for others as well.

I think the best answer is in experience and posting hand histories here along with your reads. Sometimes you bet TP strong because the opp is such a call station. Other times, the opp is either too tight or too aggressive so you check/call 1-2 streets but it still depends on the board.
