Villain is 24/18 over 60 hands. Only read is his been raising to $1.50 with a wide range of hands. This is the 2nd time his been 3B PF, 1st one he folded. Not sure what to do to this reraise

Given that we are deepish I am inclined to perhaps just call here
and try to get it in on a non paired/no-diamond river.

I doubt that he has a flush here but his c/raise makes me think that he has a A

in his hand. But even then I think we have enough equity to get it already in on the turn.

villains range is heavily weighted towards sets here, so we should be happy to get it in. i mean, there are what, ~20 cards that we dont want to see on the river? i get it in here for sure, if he flopped the joint then nh to him and reload.

Ok. Just wanted to make sure what I did wasn't so bad. What if I just called turn and called a bet on river if its not a diamond or pairing the board? Is that better/worse?

I've read some of the replies, but didn't look at the results post yet.

I probably end up stacking off here due to stubborness, but I don't really see why this would be a bare Ad or a set all that often, unless it was a set of 7's. Most Adx hands would probably raise this flop for some fold equity etc, and definitely most sets would raise this flop for protection and value.

I can't see why a set would really ever take a c/c line and c/r turn, especially since going for a c/r would risk giving a free card.

I'd say this is a flush most often, and 7d7x sometimes (or like 97 maybe?) and also sometimes like Ad or Ad8 or something.

With better reads that he's tight or something, this could actually be a fold, but with no reads I'd say its a stackoff, but close.

I agree with Griffey - I think people are getting fooled by the check/call, check/raise traditional set line, without considering that hardly anybody slowplays a set like that on a three-flush flop. I might still talk myself into seeking a showdown, since you have the non-flush nuts - but I think he has flushes more than sets here, making this a pretty sketchy situation.

villain can c/c and c/r a set here for the same reasons that someone was advocating waiting to see that the next card wasnt a diamond/paired the board. i dont agree with this logic at all here, but we cant rule it out.

I don't think it's a question of having a reason to do it or not - just speaking from the empirical data, I think most people don't. Set on a monochrome flop for most players with any aggression at all = betting and raising.
