thats a funny icon. against an unknown that limp called the co..bleh..i stack off on the drawy board. mostly worried about 8x. i might fold if he snap called the flop and snap check raised the turn.

Idk why but i feel like this is a call even though it looks a ton like 8x. Just a weird feeling.
But thinking objectively this seems like its either 8x or a bluff so i fold.

This seems a situation where they have the 8, players tend to pot-size bet when they have top pair on a draw board, to protect it. I think the call was a little weak though, I think a raise was in order there, if they had the queen they might think you are drawing to the flush, and possibly re-raise you. I think the passive play put you in a spot of bother there.

I ended up calling and he had Q9(no hearts), my Kings held up on the river. I really didn't understand his line and almost folded. I'm still not sure about my call though. I do think though that he doesn't always have 8x here, I'm just not sure if he doesn't have it enough for this to be a good call.

yeah it s fine to call this in my experience
lots of the time it s someone with a queen using weird logic saying " i bet he doesn t have an 8"
edit : hadn t read OP's results. what can I say; I play bad but read soulds good

I realize this is may be stupid logic, but for some reason his raise/push seems too big for an 8. I feel like an 8 might try to value raise here to 13ish, but I think his push is a FD/Q who thinks the 'scare card' can get you off a better hand.
