So, I NEVER school the fish, but up until this hand this guy had been really nice and was asking genuine questions that I was happy to answer, since I wasn't taking the game too seriously.
This conversation explains a lot about floating.

joshpytt: cant beat the fish
Demiparadigm: tilt
joshpytt: how do you call that raise?
Demiparadigm: you didn't have it
joshpytt: but you had nothing
Demiparadigm: if you had it, you check raise the turn
joshpytt: chasing the inside str with the board paired?
Demiparadigm: you had nothing
joshpytt: i had you beat!!
Demiparadigm: I take the pot if the turn isn't an A or K
joshpytt: calling a raise with 4 outs
Demiparadigm: 10 outs on the turn
joshpytt: q9 what a fish
Demiparadigm: Shh... I am counting your chips.

To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

You mean he smooth calls the flop and then c/r the turn?

There are a few lines that a standard TAgg would take if he had the jack. None of them involve checkraising the flop. As soon as he checkraised the flop, I knew I could take the hand away on a blank turn.

Also I would typically not call a raise with Q9s (though I would often raise with it) But since this player raised UTG, I could already put him on a very small range.

I like the way you think. You have some tight lagg skills most definately. I gotta tell ya for fun that I'm crazy enough to float on AK high in a spot like this against your profile. I swear to god I would call my whole stack off if you kept overrepping. AK GOOOT! Just so you know you might run into someone that looks you up this way.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.
