 On Pokerroom you generally aren't reraised at 100NL SH unless it's AA-KK, sometimes it's JJ-QQ by a particularily aggressive player, rarely is it AK. With this in mind, how is my play here?

Seat 7: Galapogos [KC,KD] ($126.30 in chips)
Seat 8: IH8DRiver ($109.70 in chips)
Seat 9: 9viverevolan ($87 in chips)
Seat 10: kale21 ($101.60 in chips)

ANTES/BLINDS
Galapogos posts blind ($0.50), IH8DRiver posts blind ($1).

PRE-FLOP
9viverevolan calls $1, kale21 folds, .Nightfish. folds, bolan folds, Galapogos bets $4.50, IH8DRiver bets $15, 9viverevolan calls $15, Galapogos calls $11.

This unknown has not reraised once in this session, I have been here for maybe 45 minutes so warning bells are going off, I just call. 9viverevolan is a bozo, I'm not worried about him.

FLOP [board cards QC,JD,6H ]
Galapogos checks, IH8DRiver bets $15, 9viverevolan calls $15, Galapogos bets $60, IH8DRiver folds, 9viverevolan calls $45.

Great, now every possible hand I see him reraising with beats me. I don't want to lead out here because I don't want to be raised. I c/r, putting myself in control here, now I can fold confidently to a push.

TURN [board cards QC,JD,6H,6D ]
Galapogos bets $11, 9viverevolan calls $11 and is all-in.

RIVER [board cards QC,JD,6H,6D,6C ]

SHOWDOWN
Galapogos shows [ KC,KD ]
9viverevolan mucks cards [ 10C,KS ] <--- Note the excellent example of guys I'm dealing with down here!!!!

What do you think of my thought process? Sound? Did I bet too much on the flop? The reason I bet so strong is I wanted to look very strong, so all he could do is push and I would know I was beat. I left the results because the flop and preflop are more what I'm interested in.

Reraise preflop. What, are you playing this for set value? What happens when an Ace rolls off on the flop? What happens when you have a board like the one that happened in the hand, QJx? Now maybe you're up against a set of Q's, J's, or 6's. It's okay to trap one player with KK, but not okay to try to trap two...

Flop is okay, I guess, but kind of scary. It'd be a lot less scary if we weren't up against two players. If you're going to play it like this just put your entire stack in there, because on later streets you won't have any folding equity to possible hands that are drawing...This is one of those situations where you probably just stick it all-in, if you are behind or get sucked out on then you say to yourself, "Well, I deserved that after my silly flop play."



It looks to me like you're playing scared. If you wait around for someone to stack you they will.

This is not good logic to use. What are *these two* players doing in this particular game? Is the player that raised you ridiculously tight? Does he reraise more than just AA? Don't base an entire site's play and categorize *everyone* as playing that way, pick up reads on individual players.

At any rate, you played this hand like 22-JJ. You have KK. That's a pretty big hand. Play it as such.
