Villain is in the SB running 17/10 over ~100 hands.
I'm running 24/21 but haven't shown anything much down yet. My attempt to steal is at 35%
I don't know if villain is observant enough to know this.

SB checks, Hero???
Two parts to this - first, are you betting this turn again, now one of the draws has completed, or checking behind with our 6/8 outs?

I think I like a check behind here.
I don't really think he has the straight, but two pair is definitely in his range.
I check because I think we'd have to call a c/r here on the turn to see the river, and we'd be committed on the river to call another bet. I don't think this is the spot I wanna play for stacks in with KK so I'd check and call any/most river bets.
I think we're either already behind or the flush is drawing to only 8 outs so I don't mind giving a free card here for pot control.

Ok, thats more or less the conclusion I came to thinking about this hand afterwards.
As played I bet $24 into $27, villain called. (I didn't give turn action much thought at the time - mistake)
River comes 2 and villain insta shoves all in, hero has $68 to call into $143.
Are you calling this river bet?

I don't think I call, you only have a bluff catcher and no read.

yeah definitely check behind here. pair and a straight draw makes up a lot of his range IMO, and that either makes 2 pair for him or a straight.
griff, i dont understand why we would "have to call a c/r"? i dont think a crappy player is bluffing that.

I guses i' more speaking for myself. I'm a station in these spots, and don't think i'd be able to let go of an overpair +OESD in this spot to a c/r.. so for me I know I'd just end up committing myself to stack off after calling.
Though you're right.. its probably best to fold to a c/r depending on the size ofcourse. But checking through is best here I'd imagine.
