Why are we betting if we're folding to a raise?

AQ has to be at the bottom of our vbetting range though right? What's the worst hand you'd value-bet here Gabe, or Max or any of you guys?

What if we have AJ here? Is that b/f or b/c?

Against an unknown I think it's bad.

I check the turn.

You bet too much if you were intending to fold to a raise, more than half your stack belongs to the pot now.

Betting bigger reduces our opponents bluffing frequencies, meaning in this spot, he's never bluffing. It gets harrier if we valuebet small and think we might have induced a bluff.

I would of said bet but looking at the hand more closely villain can soooo easily have 33/66/AJ/A3/A6 that betting is really thin on river. We'd pretty much only get value from a hero call with Jx.

Worst hand id call with here is probably AJ or something.

I haven't played this high in a while but.....

Against unknowns I get scared shitless in these spots because they could have anything really, they've called you twice, so I just check behind.

good post- would be nice to know if he is the 70% of players who dont call Axs in the BB or the 30% who do....

against a complete unknown your river betsizing seems bad max.

I really thought about the river bet sizing, it was tough for me. Something like 160-150 was probably going to get the same amount of calls as 200-220, if not less imo. 90-120 just didn't seem as good.

What would you suggest?

90-120 i think, just based on the unknown dynamic. of course its different for me because i know 99.9% of the regs on stars so when i see an unknown my assumption is strongly weighted towards he sucks, so hes not rly an unknown.

so given that assumption i fire out 90-120 just based on the fact that hes likely some 40 yr old dude taking a shot who will idly click the call btn and i beat all his bluffcatchers so bet. obv fold to a raise for same reasons...
