I tanked this one. Preflop I think is standard, on the flop I was worried more about the 3-bettor obv, and was going to bet/fold to him. I figured bet/fold was superior to c/c. Now the MP throws a spanner into the works...

Fairly new to table, not many reads - but I'd say MP is the looser of the two in the hand for sure.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver Cards)

Hero ($64.55)
UTG ($57.95)
MP ($50)
CO ($49.75)
Button ($52.95)
SB ($65.95)

Preflop: Hero is BB with , .
1 fold, MP raises to $2, 1 fold, Button raises to $4, 1 fold, Hero calls $3.50, MP calls $2.

Flop: ($12.25) , , (3 players)
Hero bets $8, MP raises to $46, Button folds, Hero??

idk, if he's not totally full of it, is he ever doing this with 88-1010? Otherwise you're fucked by set or a better PP. If i knew MP was an aggro spaztard i'd call in a heartbeat, otherwise fold.
There's only one system. Bet. Lose. Borrow. Steal. Lose. Take the drugs. Lose. Prison. Death.

I'm not expecting The BU to call, I'm expecting to fold out possible AK/AQ and raise QQ+. You're advocating a c/f line? That seems a little nitty, no? Check/calling is even worse. It's not necessarily about getting hands I beat to call, I'd rather c/f than c/c as I can't fold the flop to 1 bet right?

The button is who scares me the most as his range is probs TT-AA, AK, AQs.

I don't mind a c/f line at all, MP's hand confuses the shit out of me, fuck knows what he has.

Yeah I was expecting to be int pot vs BU. I'm not saying it's good/bad - but you fold JJ for 1 bet, if it was just me and BU?

Agreed, I was really confused what MP had.I could pretty much rule out AA-QQ due to pre. I was thinking along the lines of set or FD, I had no idea really how good/bad he was. BTW this was insta-push by MP no time to think it through.

From a good player would a set just call? Esp as there is a possibility CO has QQ+ and may raise himself. Or raise to 20 and stick it in on the turn?

I'm pretty sure a good player raises a set on that board.

If MP's bad we can't rule out QQ-AA.. Actually fuck knows what line to take here, this hand confuses the shit out of me so much, I can't put anyone on anything.
