Ok Id just like to hear some thoughts on isolation and the range of hands ppl like to iso with.

Brief example which I find v common at all small stakes form 100nl below....

assume 100bb stacks

weak player (say a 30/8 passive) limp UTG or UTG+1
Hero is in CO or BTN
BTN (if we are CO) and blinds are either a mix of nits or tags

We almost never expect to be 3 bet light!!

Its a really simple kinda spot but id like to hear thoughts.....
Jman: every time the action is to you, it's an opportunity for you to make the perfect play.

This is where my post in the beginner forum comes in.

If this guy folds a lot of flops, I'll isolate with almost ATC because my value comes from c-betting almost all flops and him folding a lot. I'm happy to raise a touch more v's this guy PF also to build the pot.

If this guy is a station postflop, then I isolate with any two cards T or higher, dont c-bet as much as normal (v's some guys hardly at all) if I miss, but value bet fairly large any pair I hit. I'm happy to raise this slightly lower PF if its still likely to isolate him, since my value comes from value betting postflop, so risk the minimum when I miss.

Thats obvious with fairly extreme cases, and the rest of the table matters.
Just playing to improve.
