I had a bet with a friend who plays 50NL who believes that the games are just not beatable anymore and too many TAG's have infested the game. I said that any game up to $100NL is still beatable with any kind of skill and an experienced player can still make money. He bet $100 that I cannot make $1000 in 3 days at Ultimate Bet's $100NL 6-max tables. I gave him 3-1 and so I played over the last 3 days and easily made it in less than 3000 hands.

Now I never used the EV software so did I just run good? I thought that I played really well and the weak TAGG's fold far too often. Applied aggression with a keen understanding of the flow of the table and table selection can easily beat $100nl. fwiw, I usually play 400nl and 600nl.

Haven't read up on PokerEV, but it looks like you ran slightly over expectation. In any case, nice work taking money from your dumbass friend. All NLHE games are beatable because there are bad players all the way up to the highest stakes.

100NL tables at UB are fairly fishy. I've been playing em' for about a month now.

But it looks like you just pulled 25ptbb/100 which is a disgustingly good winrate. I'm happy with 5ptbb/100

Are they the BBJ tables? I never any tables above 25nl that aren't BBJ. Are you beating them for 5ptBB/100?

Yeah all the tables anyone plays above 25NL are BBJ tables (bleh), but the fishiness makes up for it. I've been beating 50NL/100NL for 5-7 ptbb/100 for the last 40k hands or so... 100NL for the last month, & 50NL before that.

Yeah I usually play Ongame 400NL but I played UB's 100NL tables (all BBJ tables) for this challenge. I found a lot of Tagg's who fold far too often, some absolute fishes and perhaps only 1-2 good regulars. But I am pretty sure that those guys have about the same skill level when I played 100NL so I "should" beat them on normal days. I stopped the challenge when I made $2k for 27ptBB/100 playing 27/24/4.

You musta been playing 6-max. I generally only play the FR tables at UB. I've yet to see a reg there with good-taggy looking stats. Most of the FR regs look like 18/6, 12/2, or even like 24/8. I think I saw one 13/11 and it was as noteworthy as running into a white guy in korea.

For some reason I feel like "He hits me cos he loves me" with UB. Although I hardly play at UB, for some reason, I really like the software. I also always seem to play my best there. But then I only have about 5% of my roll on UB and nowadays I only play there when I'm baked.

Not directly related but I usually play Ongame but the games there are not that good anymore (at least for the times I'm playing). Given that I don't play FT, iPoker and Stars for a reason there aren't many more sites I can play on which have decent traffic for NZ evening times.

I also read that some 2+2ers are disputing that the same player has hit the BBJ twice. Miffed should tell them that its possible

Nah seriously. When I start playing after 6pm NZ time there are never more than 5 tables each of 200nl, 400nl, 600nl playing and then the games that are running are infested by shortstackers or regulars. Last year at least there were always a few donkeys running around but I haven't seen many in ages.

That's probably because you're playing that network at the worst possible time. It's filled with euros, and primetime seems (according to hourly player stats) seems to be around 5-11 PM GMT. You're playing around 6AM GMT when all the euros have long gone to bed...

Very nice man. I can dominate everything up to $25NL for some reason... That's pointless.
