but villain is ~40/10. i want to bluff the turn/river since he tends to get tighter there based on a short time of watching. i'm prob seen as straightforward and tight.
i'm kinda rusty. is folding flop best?
how about bluffing now that I'm at the turn? I was confident he has tpwk since he played it similarly earlier (maybe random worse hands too)
or is this fine/standard?

good. Why do you want to bluff him off top pair? he's a donk, he donk bet into you, donks dont fold top pair.

If you had QJ i could see why you would want to but since you beat all Q's just check behind.
you played it fine, where would you possibly fold?

i guess ur right, but my question is sorta "should i go with my read even if i'm not ultra confident." i mean if i think he has top pair than i took the worst line. maybe it doesn't matter a ton though.

Your read has nothing to do with what your opponent has which seems like a pretty big leak. Tell me if I'm wrong.

"Your read has nothing to do with what your opponent has"
what do you mean by that?
(edit) are you saying that TP isn't a big part of his range, or that my general thinking is off?

seems like a bad spot to bluff
doubt he ll fold K-x or better
You say your image is solid so he prob can t put you on 6-x (if he s thinking)
If anything I d wonder about value-betting to get value from a hand like JJ or worse Q s.

when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

ya i agree calling is better than bluffing...this post was probably more about me getting frustrated he had the hand i thought was most likely.
but acting on reads in these spots adds up a ton, and i think if i was playing my "A game" i would've let it go on the flop.
that might seem result oriented, but it just makes so much sense given my image, the board, how ppl like him have played, his passiveness, etc. plus i have to expect at least one more bet coming.

you re right as long as your read is very very solid. Sounds like you re just being hard on yourself since seeing a fishy villain take a similar line with a medium-strength hand is rarely enough to make a big move (which unnecessarily pushing him off TP would be imo in this spot)
not that I wouldn't try it though lol
