my notes are villain is 30/25, aggro, and ive been standard tag.
as far as timing, the flop was a quick call. the river was think, think...push!

i d snap call and expect to see TTT or air

if he s bad then more funky 2 pair hands become likely... but even those are more likely to shove flop (stuff like AcTc or Ac3c)

his hand looks EXACTLY like 88-TT that is either a set or is trying a sicko bluff (guess that's not exactly "air" but...)
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

Have you been 3-betting frequently?

Wouldn't a float bet the turn?
You'd expect to here from a set on the turn I guess, but maybe it's a missed c/r. I think there's too many hands here that beat yours to be able to call this.

Maybe it's my lower stakes mindset but I'd always fold this.. looks like he wants to get his monster paid because he failed to build a pot.

No way I'm calling this. Your hand has to be the second worst hand he puts you on (after AQ) because QQ+ are always betting the turn. If it's a bluff it's a sick one.

I agree with this.

As played, villain HAS to put us on missed overs AQ/AK and then when the card he puts US on hits, now he's finally pushing??

I don't think we can call this unless we have reads that villain bluffs rivers when we check through turns.

everything ppl are saying in this thread is proof that overbet shoving in mid-large pots is very profitable

minsim, i dont remember, but think i wasnt out of line with 3betting or anything.

griffey - i think he'd consider this a spot to bluff, since i'm prob seen as tight/standard, capable of folding AK when it only beats a bluff.
i mean it's hard to get a ton of reads multitabling online...but i sorta assumed that from his stats and timing.

so how important do u guys think it is that he check/instacalled the flop? i thought it means he didn't flop a set or AcXc since he seems good/aggro.
if ya, and we discount AJo since he prob folds pre, then this is pretty much TTT or a lower pocket pair making a bluff like genitruc said.

anyway, i've thought about this hand too much...my first impression was what most said so far, but for now i've changed my mind. if anyone else does let me know...

If anything the flop instacall is evidence against a set. He has to at least consider raising with a flush draw and a possible (but unlikely) straight draw out there.

I think the instacall is more likely to be a draw but I also wouldnt base a 100+bbs decision on a timing "tell" that we've just made up
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

If you think this guy's only thinking 2nd level and gives you credit for thinking second level, then it's a call. But if he's thinking third level and gives you credit for thinking third level, then it's a fold.

p.s. I'm fucked up right now. Will re-evaluate tomorrow.
