I'm pretty uncomfortable with $100NL right now, so I just want some line checks. Lemme know what I should be doing differently? I had a pretty crazy session today. I played 800 hands and was down $400 at one point. I spent the next few hours trying to work my way out of the hole and ended up with a $600 stack at one of my tables at one point. I somehow ended up +$80 on the night ... lol Anyway ...

1) No reads other than that he’s played like every single hand since he got to the table about 10 hands ago. And that he bought in short. Fold the turn? Wtf? Anyway, this is posted mostly to set up the next hand that has the same villain, so take a look at the results (as if you don't know them after seeing the hand anyway).

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Hero ($106.50)
MP ($44.50)
CO ($52.55)
Button ($98.50)
SB ($87)
BB ($294.50)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with J, A.
Hero raises to $4, MP calls $4, 4 folds.

Flop: ($9.50) K, 6, J (2 players)
Hero bets $7, MP raises to $14, Hero calls $7.

Turn: ($37.50) K (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $10, Hero calls $10.

River: ($57.50) 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $16.5 (All-In), Hero calls $16.50.

Final Pot: $90.50

Results in white below:
Hero has Jc Ah (two pair, kings and jacks).
MP has 4s Ks (three of a kind, kings).
Outcome: MP wins $90.50.

2) Okay like I said, same guy as in hand one; I think the two hands were consecutive. I guess I should have just bet OOP on the turn, but I just couldn't believe that he would have a 4. But it's time to fold when he min raises me ... right?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Hero ($100)
UTG ($87.50)
MP ($52.55)
CO ($98.50)
Button ($86.50)
SB ($293.50)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K, K.
UTG calls $1, 4 folds, Hero raises to $5, UTG calls $4.

Flop: ($10.50) 4, 2, 6 (2 players)
Hero bets $8, UTG calls $8.

Turn: ($26.50) 4 (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $11, Hero raises to $30, UTG raises to $49, Hero ...

3) Villian is an idiot. He's 35/9/3 over 250 hands and he calls with a lot of stuff. He also makes really small bets into pots and often folds to raises, so I was kind of surprised when he bet OOP on the turn and then called. Anyway, line check please. Bet sizes okay?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Hero ($301.05)
Button ($103.50)
SB ($79.10)
BB ($131)
UTG ($90.35)
MP ($219.55)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 4, 4.
2 folds, Hero raises to $4, Button calls $4, SB calls $3.50, 1 fold.

Flop: ($13) 5, Q, 4 (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $10, Button folds, SB calls $10.

Turn: ($33) 6 (2 players)
SB bets $10, Hero raises to $25, SB calls $15.

River: ($83) 8 (2 players)
SB bets $40.1 (All-In), Hero calls $40.10.

Final Pot: $163.20

4) His steal % is 45 over 80 hands, no other reads. Better to reraise preflop?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

MP ($21.35)
CO ($92.30)
Button ($113)
SB ($106.80)
Hero ($101)
UTG ($152.70)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J, A.
3 folds, Button raises to $4, 1 fold, Hero calls $3.

Flop: ($8.50) A, T, 8 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $6, Hero raises to $18, Button calls $12.

Turn: ($44.50) T (2 players)
Hero checks, Button checks.

River: ($44.50) Q (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $16, Hero calls $16.

Final Pot: $76.50

5) No reads, 28/4 over only 25 hands. Just want a line check.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Button ($25.75)
SB ($91.15)
Hero ($444.85)
UTG ($100.75)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J, A.
UTG calls $1, 2 folds, Hero raises to $4.5, UTG calls $3.50.

Flop: ($9.50) 2, J, A (2 players)
Hero bets $8, UTG raises to $18, Hero raises to $45

Hand 1) This might be one of those find a better spots. You want to fold to a min raise in hand 2, but not here?
Hand 2) I would probably call this, I think your ahead of his range here.
Hand 3) Good.
Hand 4) I usually fold pre, and sometimes 3 bet never call.
Hand 5) Good.

1) If you dont fold the flop you have to fold the turn. I doubt his turn bet is ever a bluff with that much left behind and flop raise. He looks like he wants to get it allin so dont.

2) After seeing what he showed down after raising the first hand im never folding here. Its a choice between call and push any river or just push turn. He probably calls more on a blank river BUT there are plenty of scarecards that can come if he has something like 99 or TT. I probably think for a little while and then push turn. If he has Q4 then meh.

3) Ugh thats a horrible river. I personally make the turn raise bigger since you said he calls with alot. I probably make it $30-35. A $35 tun raise would make the river an instacall with the money behind.
As played you still have to call but you can expect to lose quite often.

4) 80 hands is nowhere near enough to come close to judging a steal %. Hes on the button 13 times in 80 hands. At a tightish table at least half of those wont be folded to him so its like trying to judge someones PFR percentage after 7 hands. If I dont know someone I just give them the benifit of the doubt with marginal hands out of position. I like how you played it postflop. Turn is check/fold for me.

5) Good.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

Hand #1: Fold. Min-raises are donkeys saying MHIG!!!
Hand #2: Are you afraid he had the 4? Is that why you checked? Because if you think he has a 4 then I c/c him down. If not afraid, I bet.
Hand #3: I raise the turn more, as played I think you can find a fold on the river. He played it like a flush draw and hit on the river. The only other hand he could have is a set which also has you beat. Unless you know he tends to overvalue 2 pair?
Hand #4: Fold preflop, this is not a good hand OOP. Or 3-bet if you have an issue with his button bets but give it time to see if he actually gets out of hand. As played on the flop you look like a 2 pair and look what the turn gave you. This would have been an awesome time to bluff against an opponent that can fold AK.
Hand #5: Good.

What do you think his min-raise is saying then? You think he would fold here to a push? In my experience once a dummy min-raises, you know he's not folding whatever he has.

I played a hand last night where i hit TPGK w/ AQs on a A66 two suited board after raising PF in position. I bet 3/4 pot, donkey min-raises, I pop it up higher, he again minraises *that* bet, and I throw the rest of my money in (which at that point wasn't even a full raise). Guy shows air (something like 8/4s not matching the board). I hadn't been at the table for long so I didn't have any strong reads, but he hadn't struck me as a strong player in the orbit I had been there.

I'd be wary of minraises coming from a good (nth level) player, but coming from your average donk it either means I have a set! or I'm weak.

Courtiebee's position wasn't particularly strong enough to deal with either position, so she should have dumped the hand well before showdown.
If I had a hammer
I'd drop in the morning
I'd drop in the evening..

A minraise is top pair where the player wants to "see where he's at" or something stupid. Anyways, you have middle pair and you're out of position, so I would just let it go on the flop.
