I hope you're reporting stuff like that to the site you play on.

Which site do you play on? I've only reported one at Party and they did respond, although basically they said they thought it was a coincidence.

I just started playing on Empire. I don't really understand Disconnect Protect. Did this guy benefit by using it? I understand how it works with river bets (as in the post "did I just get screwed by an allin cheater") but after the flop he got disconned and you could have probably made more money off of him if he had stayed in but did he really benefit other than that? What if he had the winner? Sorry, I just don't get it and I'd like to.

He called $10 preflop. He missed the flop, by him disconnecting he gets to see the turn and river for free with a chance to catch a hand. Basically he avoids facing a bet from me. He left the table right after this hand.

So he could have bet the river (& essentially checked the flop & turn) if he had a hand he liked?
That sucks hard. You'd think that with that possibility PP would dump that feature. Thanks for the info.

He couldn't have bet, but he would have won the pot with an A.

He still looses w/ an Ace b/c I have a set but he doens't know that. He probably thinks an Ace is good.

Partt responded when I did it and they said that the guy I reported had his disconnect-protect privileges taken away, so it does work, reporting them, that is.

He could have really disconnected too and then dropped from the table. Just because people's connections go bad sometimes and they leave doesnt mean they are always cheating. When I reported someone they took his protections away for good after they saw that the circumstances were shady.

It happens so much that I get suspicious every time it happens now. I'm sure there are legit disconnects but I really believe that it would be better if someone disconnected then they get their hand folded.
