I almost feel bad about this one. This guy had been bullying me for a while and bluffed me out of many pots. I tried to fight back on this hand but boy did I pick the wrong spot. It all worked out in the end but I made a big mistake.

Wow...I'll bet he had a few choice word for you - catching two running queens like that. It is nice to see a story about someone on the good end of a bad beat though.

Off topic rant:

Well I know who you weren't playing against.

I sat in a room this morning and this guy would spew out all sorts of vulgarities anytime he lost a hand.

If he folded to you, he would type, "fu" Or if you were a woman, "b it ch" If you had the better hand at the beginning, out drew him, or he didn't catch his draw. Any time he lost, here come the insults. I ended up giving him the line, "Well aren't you a bright beam of sunshine." Then on subsequent insults I would just type in, "bright beam" or "there's the sunshine"
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

Sorry I have to stick this in here too. A couple nights ago I joined a 25NL table and paid my .50 bb bet when you join a table. I was dealt 57o or something like that, so I checked. Wasn't really paying attention and ended up checking until after the river, where a guy bets $2. I think everyone else folded and I raised to $4, with 2 pair, 7s and 5s. There was an A on the board and he had a pair of A's and began to ream me out about playing 57o, blah ... blah ... blah... I said that I just joined the game, paid my bb bet, and just checked all the way to the river, if you have a hand why don't you bet it and chase people like me out. He did say something like "Sorry, thought you called with that". I just said "np" or something like that, but I thought, don't tell me what hands to play. I've been so tempted when this happens to use that line I read in this forum somewhere when someone starts yelling at other people for them losing a hand. "Shhhhhh, I'm counting your chips"

You can always tell who the observant ones are and who is having a bad night. I have had several situation like miggo described - join a table get dealt 7-2 or something equally horrible, no PFR....and you end up flopping two pair. Usually nothing is said - but occasionally it really gets under someones skin and the profanities fly. Great way to double up fast in a ring game...beating someone who slow played AA, KK or AK with a 7-2 and watch them bet into you trying to "get you back".

Well I certainly have a lot of respect for danmo77....took it like a man, no snide comment like: nice catch, miracle pull or anything.

I've only flexed the "Sorry what was that? I was too busy counting your chips" Line once.. The guy was a whiner and deserved the hand he lost to me by playing bad so I let him have it .
