Ew, this hand sucks.
Villain is jessicafk, a real nit that I havn't seen in a while. I have her at 5/5 over 40 hands on my HUD that I recently started using again, but more importantly, I remember her as a huge nit several months ago.
I really think she has KK/JJ here, MAYBE QTs if she was REALLY getting out of line preflop, lol. I just can't see KJ, AA, AK, or any similar hand playing this way. My turn c/r isn't exactly weak. The fact that it's a button game though may or may not change things, I don't really know.
I usually lead this turn here, but sometimes I think you have to check as well. Anyway, comments on any street welcome.
She covers by almost 200.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $4 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
UTG ($408)
MP ($179.65)
Button ($577.50)
Hero ($384)
BB ($455.70)
Preflop: Hero is SB with 9 , 9 .
2 folds, Button raises to $16, Hero calls $14, 1 fold.
Flop: ($36) K , J , 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button checks.
Turn: ($36) 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $24, Hero raises to $105, Button raises to $561.5, Hero folds.
Final Pot: $702.50

Is being a nit a bad thing or she just plays super tight?

Why would this matter, that she covers you by $200?

this is not the type of board you want to check the set on the turn

AA I think is possible. AK though yeah I have a hard time seeing that. Idk I probably fold to.

I don't get checking the turn either.
Otherwise, from her perspective, you checked twice and she underrepped her hand, so maybe ur making a move on her nittiness.
But taking into account how nitty u described, even in this spot it's probably rare she's going all in with less than the 3rd nuts. Definitely not an easy fold though...

I just pointed it out because I felt it was very relevant to the hand. It's probably a bad thing against opponents with a clue.

Take a look at the turn action. It's not an effective raise to $561.50. It's an effective raise to significantly less then that. This should and does effect decision making (favors a call, despite the fact that I folded).

I understand the reasoning, but what if villain will bet here 100% of the time when checked to? If this is the case (or close to it-- which applies to many players here), it can't possibly be a big mistake.

come on... does AA ever check the flop then push over a huge turn c/r on a nasty turn card? I've never seen it.

My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

I hate the turn c/r here. Lead turn, call a raise and re-eval on river. As played, I dunno, your line looks so weird that I'd probably convince myself to call.
