Here's another AA preflop situation. Unfortunately I can't find the hand history. I was taking a shot at 200NL because this one table had two huge fish sitting with full stacks at it.

I get dealt AA under-the-gun and I make it $7. Fish #1 and Fish #2 both call from late position, and a nit in the big blind makes it $18. What the hell do I do here to maximize value? If I put in a third raise the fish might reluctantly fold, and the nit will definitely fold anything worse than KK. But if I just call then I'm out of position in a multiway pot. Is it possible that my EV is higher if I take a flop with the two fish, considering that they'll definitely stack off if they flop top pair?

No way in this circumstance would I ever consider smooth calling the raise. You know both fish are calling and it's going to be tough to get away from your hand on most flops that aren't KQJ monotone of a suit you don't hold. The reraise was very small indicating a pretty huge hand from the player described. I would reraise to $55 for sure and we know the BB stacks off with KK and possibly QQ too, or maybe gets frisky with AK, who knows.

Well obviously I put in another raise like a good little boy, the fish folded, and I got all-in against the big blind who had the other two aces. I wondered whether I missed out on a chance to stack one of the fish, but I guess the point is that the pot is already so big that taking it down right now might be more +EV than seeing a flop.

i think its OK to get greedy here and call sometimes and be ready to pitch it on alot of flops. also, i think stack sizes are important.
