lekplats is pretty tight-weak. The reason I made this play was because I saw him lay down plenty of hands. On one hand the pot was like $70 and on the river he folded to a $4 bet when flush card came out. One guy gave him crap and he mentioned he didn't have the nuts and was scared of the flush. I know I have the Ace, so I know I can try to get a lower flush to fold. Is this a poor play here? I probably should have folded earlier, but whatever.

The guy is weak/tight but fires in the second raise on an all suited flop, then bets huge on the turn and river - and you expect him to fold? Unless you had a lock read that he was on something other than a made flush, I think this was a poor play - regardless of the actual outcome of the hand. Odds are way too good he has something like a queen or jack high flush, and I don't know if you can count on him to fold that hand, no matter how tight you think he is. The old naked ace bluff is better used when your opponent has not already shown a lot of strength on multiple streets.

Now that I'm awake and rested, I am not as fond of this move. I should have just folded. I wish that guy didn't make that comment about not having the nuts earlier because that's all that was running through my head. He had a 10 high flush. If you were in his place, would you make this call? It's quite obvious I'm repping the nut flush right? If he was paying attention he would see my image as showing down lots of winners and betting hard when I hit.

What it comes down to is - nobody wants to fold a flush.

Yeah, about that "I didn't have the nuts" comment - I just about guarantee he was setting up the table. Nobody folds any reasonable made hand for $4 on a $70 pot. He was chasing something and missed (since it wasn't a flush, I would guess it was a straight draw). His remark got the desired effect, too.

when weakies get active you gotta better have a big hand. I wouldnt be surprised to see him show a flush here.

I think I fold this one on the flop to the 3-bet CR by the weak-tight villian. I mean what else could he have here besides the flush (maybe a set, but that's still very bad news for you)? Plus if you hit another club, what makes you think that mr. weak-tightie will pay you off with a badly counterfeited flush or a meaningless set? What if the turn blanks and the board pairs a club? But I think if you wanted to make a move here, the turn would be the place to do it, rather than the river. It would probably buy you a free showdown as well if that means anything.
