First hand at the table. Bet the river harder making it look like a pot steal?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (6 max, 5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with K, 8. SB posts a blind of $0.1.
1 fold, MP calls $0.25, Button calls $0.25, SB (poster) completes, Hero checks.

Flop: ($1) 7, K, 7 (4 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, MP checks, Button checks.

Turn: ($1) 7 (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.25, MP folds, Button calls $0.25, SB folds.

River: ($1.50) K (2 players)
Hero bets $2, Button calls $2.

Final Pot: $5.50

Results in white below:
Hero has Kc 8d (full house, kings full of sevens).
Button has Js 6s (full house, sevens full of kings).
Outcome: Hero wins $5.50.
If I had a hammer
I'd drop in the morning
I'd drop in the evening..

Why aren't you betting the flop? I would probably bet the pot on the flop to find out where I stand (potential set slowplayers)

I may go more towards 1/2 pot on the turn. This is where you can be certain that your hand is good and you can start trying to draw people in.

I think the river bet was just about right here, up around pot sized, I liked it. Anything more and he probably would have folded.

If this were limit I would definately be betting out the flop.

The table was so passive, however that anyone with a K or a 7 would just smoothcall, and I would have little information out of position. I wanted to see how other people acted first.
