Opponent is probably one of the strongest regulars in the cardroom (lolz.) I think he plays too loose and is very stabby when playing FR. We have yet to play a pot over $700

$10/$20 blinds $2k effective

I open to $40 with Jacks
BB re-raies to $120 (2nd or third time he's done this, usually he just snaps my button min-raises.)
I re-raise to $300
BB calls

$600 in the pot

He leads out for $200
I re-raise to $500
He shoves
I snap

Stanard or over-played?
Thoughts?

Numbr2intheWorld will become famous soon enough
I'm curious what he was doing that made you start minraising preflop.

It seems pretty standard, I doubt your losing here. I could see flatting the flop having merit when you have AA or KK especially if you have a club yourself.

Only way this is overplayed is if he did some crappy acting job preflop and then called "time" on himself before saying "i think you have Aces, i'm all-in" on the flop. If he has a seizure though i call.

Didn't think I could win the war of small pots against him. Plan was to get him to take a lot of flops out of position. In retrospect, I should have tried 3x and 2.5x first.
