raising here preflop is a mistake with a short stack i think.

checking gets you bet into on the river giving u a lot of options. I like the check and use of stack on the river.... despite its size (or lack of it)

What good is having the op bet into you on the river? What are all these options you are talking about? If he misses his draw he can't do anything. He can fold and thats about it. He has no FE to come over the top of a river bet.

I think what he is trying to say is that you can check here and take a free card, and the opp will likely bet into us on the river. If we make our flush, hit two pair/trips then we can push and he would be forced to call most likely. Basically, checking here gives us more options and an escape hatch if we wish. I don't have much experience with a short stack in this situation, but a lot of the times I check behind here on the turn and take the free card.
