i'm just lookin for some advice in heads up tournies

i've only played 3 but i've lost all 3 and it seems the other players totally outplay me

it'll be really close at the beginning but as the blinds increase i get lower and lower, usually it is my 400 against his 1600 with the blinds being 50/100

i'll get one lucky hand and get up to 800 then it'll just go straight downhill from there,

any strategies would help great... btw these are only 5 + .25 so its not much money involved
You know what cheers me up when I'm feeling shitty?

Stacks and towers of checks I can't even see over. Playing all-night high-limit Hold'em at the Taj, "where the sand turns to gold."

Many of us are only used to heads up when the tourneys we play in get to the final two. I sometimes play heads up with my friends for shits and giggles and like a buck a game (by all means nothing serious), so I’m not going to bull shit you and say I’m an expert at it.

With that said I’ll try and take a stab at some advice... you could be playing WAY too tight for any short handed game, you know those loose and aggrieve players at full tables that might get on your nerves, well little do they know that's how your supposed to play short handed... You have to see more flops when your heads up/ real short handed, you have to make more plays then on a full table, on a full table top two pair might not be anything (even though it usually holds depending on how many saw the flop), in a short handed game the same hand is a monster. I play tight aggressive style on a full table and protect my hands, in heads up I play loose aggressive, but still protect my hands that are made hands... I hope that helps you some, I’m not sure if that's what you were looking for or not, good luck, hopefully some other people will respond too ~ Jeremy
