Villian is a solid TAG, not too much history, he had folded to my preflop reraise earlier, and I think he folded to my flop raise previous to this.

I played this hand badly. Interested in any comments and in what you think villian had.

Hero ($98.90)
SB ($115.50)
BB ($45.10)

UTG raises to $3, 1 fold, Hero calls $3, 1 fold, BB calls $2.

Flop: ($9.50) 9, 6, 7 (3 players)
BB checks, UTG bets $4, Hero calls $4, BB folds.

Turn: ($17.50) A (2 players)

Instead of calling the turn its a r/f., and I think it's a very sexy raise.

I think we had to get aggressive here at some point.

Against the player described with the way I play, I'd bet this river a lot.

I thought about betting the river, but his line confused me some. I played too passive, but I had been aggressive against him earlier. Well the sn was ihategnome -- so I assume it was same from FTR. He showed 77

Just curious, depending on both players table image, anyone consider a reraise on flop not nowing he had 7's? It does look like a continuation bet and if he 3 bets you its an easy fold.

Pretty sure I did to. To be honest I have no idea why I was betting so little on the flop and turn. Maybe I was trying to induce some action like everyone has wanting you to do.

Once hero knows you balance your bet sizes well, I don't see any value in going half pot. With less information, it's a cute little play.

I like a flop raise, if we get 3 bet it's no big deal and we pitch it. But our draw is pretty transparent so there's not a whole lot of value to going for it. I think if you're going to call down his small bet like this, you need to bet the river when an obvious draw hits.
