I like a pf-raise to 12, but that's just my personal preference. Do u have more reads on villain? Does he call down light? Vs an unknown with these stats and probably kind of fishy i think it's borderline spew since he won't fold too often.
Larsmars: "I folded Aces today, I can't remember last time I did it, it must have been like half a year ago."
Andypandy: "Preflop??"

No. You didn't gain enough additional equity against his flop calling range when the turn hit. I don't think your implied odds are being improved by your continued aggression either.

You basically have to know villain will call the flop with mid pocket pairs unimproved to make this play.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

I think you also have to consider the fact that his range contains alot of draws that we dont particularly want to fold at this point. If we hit a flush over flush or flush over straight then we are +$$$$.

If we check I think he checks behind with draws and most single pairs and only bets with like KJ+. If we bet he probably raises sets and calls with top pairs anyway and might fold a worse draw than ours.

Im also not convinced he calls the flop with something like TT- since it wasnt us who raised preflop.

So yea im going with check.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

I'm not gonna pokerstove it since that'll take like ten years, but it looks like we have a lot of equity vs his flop calling range. I may even wanna triple here if I'm feeling he's only calling with a jack, but that could be bad. I dunno.

I added fold to turn bet and went to showdown % to my hud for exactly this type of spot. I think the 2 barrel decision should be made based on those stats. There are players with those preflop stats who will fold most of their flop calling range to a 2 barrel but there is also lots of players who won't. Our equity depends on which type of loose passive this guy is.

Without those stats however I have to agree with massimo that he's calling with all pairs and draws.

i thought he was saying that villain calls with all pairs and draws on the flop, and implying he folds a lot of those to a turn bet. which is it?
