I think I fucked this one up. I think I shoulda checked again on the turn, but thought I'd try to do what I would if I had QQ or AA, and thought worse hands may call anyway. If you do think check the turn, are you calling a second bet?

Villain is a bad lag- 53/22/5 after about 120 hands, calling 4bb+ raises with stuff like A4s, regardless of position. He chased a gut shot draw OOP as well, and previously underplayed a big hand until the river. I am an abc TAG.

UTG calls, Button raises to $5, hero raises to $18, 2 folds, Button calls.

Flop: A J 5 ($38, 2 players)
hero checks, Button bets $10, hero calls.

Turn: Q ($58, 2 players)
hero bets $35, Button raises all-in $167, hero folds.

call flop, check turn. You wan't him to bluff again, not raise you with the best hand.

So you call another bet on the turn against a LAG? If so, what's the river play assuming you miss the gut shot?

No probably not. If he bets again I will usually give him credit for the A unless I have a really tight read.

check turn again, usually they wont bluff at it twice, especially on this board because alot of people will slowplay AAA here
