I think reraising preflop is certainly an option...
How do you get the trips feeling from this one? I get the AK-AT vibe..

easy call, don't be so tight, it isn't like he reraised you any time during the hand. One rule you should follow is if you want information you have to bet, and not just check/call. reraising on the flop is fine with me.

Seemed like a $2 call on the flop and $3 bet on turn meant atleast TPTK, but that is something I do not know as well as more experienced players. Do you think I should just push it on turn after his bet?
Didn't I specifically give you a rule for shortstacking when villain donks into you on the turn and you have a respectable hand?

i think you can call the river... it's not anywhere near an overbet.

kmind,
Since you are playing as a shortstack here, I would just bet $3 on the flop (potsized bet) and push turn (pot will then be $9 and you have around $6 left). I need a good read here to play it any differently tbh.

Also, declaring "trips" (should be "set") will only flag you as either 1. an overthinker or 2. weak/tight.
