i was talkin to my high stakes buddy, and he suggested i do the following:
- drop down in stakes
- play every hand
- raise every hand
- work on postflop and reads
so i sat down at 2 $20NL tables (i normally play $100), and i just played for about half an hour. i ran 70/35, up $10 at the end of 150 hands.
here's what i noticed.
- 2 players followed me to the other table
- players started calling down 3rd pair (too bad i had air)
- they start calling preflop with anything (4 way raised pot)
- they start making 6x raises preflop because they know i'll call
- some of them started 3betting light, but they don't really follow through postflop
- i'm still getting respect because they'll still fold the blinds when i steal
- cbets still take down a lotta pots
it's kind of an eye opener i guess. after playing 70/35, suddenly 30/20 doesn't seem so loose, and i can see how it's profitable you are changing the table dynamics such that your opponents adjust uncomfortably to you.

I do this when I'm running bad and feel the need to spew. You do learn a lot and are able to re-tool your game a bit too.

Since reading sauces post: http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...oker-56969.htm
I've changed from 20/10 to 30/20 and started to enjoy cash games only 2/5 cent on PS admittedly.
I seem to get paid a lot more with my big hands as I get no respect and yet seem to steal an awful lot like you say. I'm nearly up to 7k of cash hands played (still learning) and reading his comments was the biggest eye opener I've had in cash yet.
