Hi, I think I'm a decent HU player without much experience, but I enjoy it and (from what I have seen) I'm sure I can 60% beat $5 and $10 at PS. Because HU sng really appeals to me I have decided to give it ago and hopefully move up the ranks whilst breaking even and improving my HU game.

I'm from U.K so I can play on lots of soft sites. So I was interested on where you guys think the best place is to move up the ranks whilst playing exclusively at HU sngs.

I was planning on depositing $300 at RedKings with 60% RB but I realised that all OnGame sites have a whopping 10% rake, which made me change my mind (that and the fact that the software sucks). Now I am leaning more towards FTP 27% RB with the dep bonus running looks like it could be juicy.

Another note is that I much prefer playing slower or deeper games, my winrate tends to go way up when for ex. playing 'No Blind Increase' at PS .vs. a turbo.

Also, I plan to use this system for my HU sng BR management:
(Moving down a lot is not a problem for me)
$20 - $49
>>>$2s
$50 - $99
>>>$5s
$100 - $299
>>>$10s
$300 - $499
>>>$20s
$500 - $1199
>>>$30s
$1200 - $2799
>>>$50s
$2800+
>>>$100s

Any comments would be much appreciated.

Ok so I decided to put $300 in PS and I'm gonna play HU sng exclusivley and see how it goes over the next 100games to see if I am a winner at $11.

PT3 doesn't seem to let me view my Sng results so I'm gonna use SharkScope on TheManners (HU only from game 199-300).

Also, I have revised my BR management system:

BR:$20 - $49
Play $2s [min10BIs]
BR:$50 - $149
Play $5s [min10BIs]
BR:$150 - $449
Play $10s [min15BIs]
BR:$450 - $999
Play $20s [min25BIs]
BR:$1000 - $1999
Play $30s [min33BIs]
BR:$2000 - $4999
Play $50s [min40BIs]
BR:$5000+
Play $100s [min50BIs]

But again if anyone else plays a lot of HU sng I'd like to hear from them. Again any advice with regards to anything would be appreciated.

Looks like a good strategy, just make sure to be patient and let the hands come to you

i too am taking to HU SNGs, just started tracking my progress now - want to grind out ~200 before i decide how im doing, I can beat $25nl over a large sample, but immediately i can see how HU relies on a completely different skill set. Looking forward to trying them out.

Anyone fancy keeping in touch with me and talking about HU so i can improve? playing the $5.25s atm with a $900BBR from cash games

Manners: don't be a bankroll-nit

Sometimes if you are doing really well and have a good streak going, I like to move up in stakes even if you have not really crossed into your next bankroll "zone" yet. And likewise for losing streaks, that you might want to move down a level instead of having the midset that you need to get your lost money back. Moving down will help you get your game back because you will more likely play to win as the money is not that big of a deal at that stake level.
