How was this? Could I have got more value by raising less or just calling the turn.
No reads as this is Villans first hand at the table.

Stage #761412433: Holdem No Limit $0.25 - 2007-09-13 18:14:00 (ET)
Table: CANTERBURY DR (Real Money) Seat #3 is the dealer
Seat 3 - CRAZYSAMSON ($22.45 in chips)
Seat 4 - NLIAW ($19.75 in chips)
Seat 5 - CASHCOW24 ($30 in chips)
Seat 6 - BAMBI222 ($23.50 in chips)
Seat 1 - TWOKICKER ($41.55 in chips)
Seat 2 - BOILERZ28 ($17.65 in chips)
NLIAW - Posts small blind $0.10
CASHCOW24 - Posts big blind $0.25
*** POCKET CARDS ***
Dealt to TWOKICKER [7c 7s]
BAMBI222 - Folds
TWOKICKER - Raises $0.75 to $0.75
BOILERZ28 - Folds
CRAZYSAMSON - Folds
NLIAW - Folds
CASHCOW24 - Calls $0.50
*** FLOP *** [As 7d 9c]
CASHCOW24 - Checks
TWOKICKER - Bets $1.25
CASHCOW24 - Calls $1.25
*** TURN *** [As 7d 9c] [Kh]
CASHCOW24 - Checks
TWOKICKER - Bets $2.75
CASHCOW24 - Raises $6.25 to $6.25
TWOKICKER - Raises $21 to $23.75
CASHCOW24 - Folds
TWOKICKER - returned ($17.50) : not called

This is a general problem I've been having with my big hands, I play an aggressive game and I often find myself thinking I've scared an opp off a hand when I could have got more value.

the problem with pushing the turn is the board is dry so you can't rep a draw, and you don't need to protect.
you might as well let him think his 2pr or whatever is good and call the turn.

I think you can fold to the turn check-raise. If he had two pair he'd probably raise the flop to protect his hand. I put him squarely on 99.

(don't post results)

I think calling the turn might be a little better but you really played it fine and I'd expect you to get called here the vast majority of the time.

and mcatdog pwns. i agree though...theres not much difference with calling vs raising the turn since villain reps 2pr+ and prob isnt bluffing.
