I've been discussing the idea of having another one of these soon with a few ftr's, and though I feel we should wait till after the new year due to holiday busyness, and meeloche being the 09 champ, I don't see any harm in getting the ball rolling now.

I feel the format of the last one was fine, and for a recap I'll paste what meeloche originally suggested:

$100 buy in, 32 entrants $3,200 prize pool

Structure: Best 2 out of 3 matches, 200bb deep. Whether you play it on PokerStars or Full Tilt it doesn’t matter as long as the structure is the same. I recommend PokerStars 1/2 play money tables, you can buy in for 200bb and no rake. You play till one player is bust on 2 out of the 3 tables.

Rules: The structure must be the same whether you do play money tables or sit and go’s with no escalating blinds. You will have 1 week to complete your match once we set a start date. I (whoever the organiser is) will have final say in all disputes and if you fail to complete your match by the deadline one or both participants may be disqualified and your buy in forfeited.

In terms of escrows I am fine with whoever you guys choose, I'd be happy to but there's obviously more prolific posters than myself whom you may be more comfortable holding your money.

Just thought I'd get some feedback on who would be up for this and what dates people think would be best.
"This sure beats Super Mario Bros.!" is my ejaculation catch phrase.

I'm in too. Can I suggest a best of 5 for the finals this time?

Yeah I was certainly planning to start this again in the new year. My 2009 title is getting a bit lonely, could use a 2010 next to it.

I might be in on this. I doubt I'm +EV here given some of you guys are playing >600nl and making 20k a month, but I guess it would be a good opportunity to maybe learn something and bring some entertainment value towards lighting $100 on fire.

i'm in, i'd be game to make buyin higher but if that pushes some ppl out then 100$ is goot. I will pay extra if i can draw alexos or Griffey in 1st round....seriously. I can escrow on stars or fulltilt but i'm happy with atoc or whoever doing that.

$100 is a good buyin and people can have side bets on their matches if they want.

I'm in again w/out a doubt. Anytime is good. Would like higher than 100$ buy in also, but if it's a problem to get 32 people, it's fine.

I'm probably twice as good since the last one, so watch out. Seriously. Hope you don't draw me.

Looks like there is select interest in a higher buy in though there may be slight difficulty in finding 32 guys for it (depending on the size of course).

Alot of posters around here seem to be in the 50nl-200nl range, so perhaps 2 tourneys could run, one $100 one and one higher ($500, or w/e you guys are interested in).

All the guys in the higher tourney could play the $100 as well to fill seats so that we have a 32 man game, then for the larger buy in just play with a smaller field (i.e. 16 man game), and then you could also do side betting on the smaller game to make it more worth while.

Just throwing that suggestion out there, it's not a big deal if there's more interest in a larger game and the smaller one never plays out.

100$ is fine, if we were doing it for da manies even 500$ wouldn't be worth it since it takes forever to complete

Ha, so far the field certainly seems a bit tougher than last time.

I'm also down for a higher stakes prop bet of some sort.
