First hand villain has played since he sat down 6hands ago.
I figured if Im lucky he maybe turning AKs into a bluff. Other than that I do not beat anyting but TT. I really couldnt see him taking that line with anything other then sets/2pr and high pairs...

i think this is a fine, albeit not easy, fold. It would be nice to know some history that he isnt some spaz, but his bet sizing reeks of value.

I don't like the flop OOP call. I think I'm 3betting this or folding right on flop. He's going to most likely bet on turn with position and checked to so if you're folding to a half pot bet why bother with a flop call. In reality, you're just spewing money for a 2 outer.

i feel you have won this, however, its not about my feeling, fold if the stakes are too high.
5 seconds later, another hand. maybe a better spot.

yea if he is not valuebetting it must be either an ultraterrible play or a good bluff(if he magically got a read on me in 6 hands)
Yea bigred I know, but what are you 3beting to? atleast 26-30total prolly? my problem with 3betting flop is a) his minraise on the flop will be a vbet alot more ofen then not b) it will be a lot harder forme to fold after putting 50BB in the pot...if you 3bet flop, are you folding to a turn shove of 30 into 70?

I get this in vs an unknown. Flop min raise if fishy enough for me to conclude he is a fish and could be value raising A9 or something.

shove flop, flop minraise 90% of the time is repping nothing or a draw
its an overbet shove but he has an awkward stack size
you should also be balancing this with in general aggressive play so the flop is an auto stack off vs. his stack size

With 78 being the only real draw, what's the advantage of overshoving flop instead of calling and c/bombing turn?

exactly. 78 is the one and only draw villain can have on this flop and his range is exactly 78/sets/small amt of air and were fucked vs it. i dont mind peeling the flop sometimes because fish love to give up on turns when they make a cheap bluff at the flop, but he has air here on the turn approx .00197% of the time and a fold is correct.

if i got min raised OOP in a spot like this, at 50NL my line would be to call the raise and bet/fold the turn for $19. If called i'd valueshove non A/K/Q/9 rivers.
