Yeah I think you at least match his turn bet, he's either got the J or a PP and decided you don't have a J.

Yeah by the river he is going to call everything if he's going to call anything. What are the stack sizes? Regardless, push it there.

You should of bet more than 1.20 , at least 2.50.Depending on your stack sizes u could of pushed all in, like if he had 5.00 left or something like that

If he had 5.00 left or 20.00 left, if he is calling anything i think he's calling everything. The only realistic hand that calls that bet on the turn is any jack, QQ, AA. If they are willing to call any bet on the river its because they think they're full house is the best hand or it's going to be a split. It would be very hard to fold to a push here when you're holding the 3rd nuts. No one ever gives a bettor credit for having the 4th king in this situation.

If they had 10$ left you only n eed them to call the push 1/8th as often as you need them to call the 1.20$ bet to make it more expectec value than the 1.20 bet. I think any hand thats calling 1.20 is at LEAST 1/8th as likely to call a push. More like 3/4ths as likely I think. Way more value for pushing for any stack size.

i found my hammer..... in a slightly scary way cause i thought he might have hit a set after he pushed all in... pot committed so i called
now if i could apply this to situations where i'm a clear favourite to win i'd be happy.

thanks again for the advice pokerpatneu i see what you mean if he calls a 10$ bet one in eight times i win 10$ and if he calls a 1.20$ bet eight times i win 10 dollars. im gonna start pushing my good hands alot more instead of betting for value would you say this is the right thing to do?

If he's on a draw and missed he isn't going to call 1.20 or 10.00, but if he's called you all the way down with top pair and a semi-decent kicker, then how can he fold on the river to any bet?

I always over-bet the river online when I'm sure I have the best hand. Even if you get calls only half the time your still making a ton more profit.

Sometimes you'll even get more calls with big river bets as opps with small hands will think your bluffing..
