Villain is taggish and hasnt done ne retarded shit. We havent gotten into ne hands post flop yet.
The other two players are fishy. I didn't wanna flat flop and let them come in as well. I raised flop thinking there might be a chance villain will fold overpairs since it was 4 to the flop and if he 3bet jams ne overpair, i dont mind calling. Spewy thinking?
As played, its pretty obvious I have a flush and I see no reason for him to not know that. Any way or reason I can fold river?

I think you can't fold river because he could be shoving a worse flush, your pot odds are too sick
if the call is incorrect, it can only be incorrect slightly, if the fold is incorrect it has to be a huge mistake to fold the best hand even once in a while

What do you think about my reasoning for flop raise? Do you like flat calling there better?

not alot of smaller flushes out there, but once you raise the river you aren't folding.
flop raise seems small as well.

well if you call the pot would be 13.25 so when you raise an additional $6 it's less than half pot
I usually raise to 12-13 here, but it's not a huge issue
flatting could also be good, but I'm not sure if it's good here, we're a favorite over aces so raising can't be too bad

He practically min-bet the river. For all you know he's on some weird level where he thinks he can min-bet, induce a raise from your entire range, and then jam to make you fold everything.

now that I look at it you have a psb left on the river so I'd just jam because it looks bluffier like you're trying to get him off of his blocking bet
the logic being is that if it's a real blocking bet he's folding to any size raise and if it's a thin value bet he might call a shove with worse
then again I've been up for a while and I might not be thinking clearly

The check on the turn would have me worried. If he has aces, then he's betting here. There's only two things that make any sense - 1) he has higher flush, or 2) he's bluffing. Nervous call, pot odds make it easy decision.

I don't either, but we're pot committed, and because he knows it, it makes it even less likely he's bluffing.
Fuck it, fold.

I like the flop raise to determine if your flush draw is good against the oop remaining fish, get it in if 3 bet by villian and potentially get a free card. Can't fold the river as played. What about shoving the turn to semi-bluff/ fold out overpairs?

when we make that fold and he shows 8s6s we lose more than if we call and he shows the nuts
and there's always a 5% chance of spew
if we plan on folding the river to a shove then just minraise him to make him call with whatever he blocking bet with

OK my poker math isnt that good so please correct me if I'm wrong. When he 4bets AI on river it cost us 17.5 into a pot 85 and change. We're getting 4.9:1 to call. If he shows a bluff or worse hand 1 out of 5 times its money in our pocket? Am I on the right track or did I just confuse myself? Regardless I'm confused

Villain 3-bet river, its simple counting.
I call, but then I only raise if I intend to call.
