that looks damn good.... Tales of poker maybe? I can't see any other alternative pine except maybe betting the river but the c/r gave you more value.
Flopping quads and boats like its my job

standard. nice play. I agree that c/r has more value than just betting, because people play scared money when that deep and are likely to just call the river bet while they might convince themselves to call a c/r, thinking you are bluffing. Also, if he will call a river bet, he will usually bet himself.

nice play.
The secret to success in poker is to rig the odds in your favor.

i 3bet cuz thats what i do, villain knew it, he had been going into a shell til i started needling him into playing a pot w/ me. he abided and we played this one

i was like "u got pos on me now, lets play a pot" (cuz i thought i would whack him if i hit a hand since my image is really crazy so he wouldn't want to believe me)

yeah he hit the 77 for the 1 outer on the river. : [

i didnt even tilt after this cuz i knew i was playing well. i tilt when i know im playing poorly.

other thing .. i posted these all as separate hands cuz u get much better responses if they are separate rather than all in 1 thread u get like 1 sentence responses.

lastly. ... based on these can anybody tell why im struggling so much ?

in the JJ hand 150bb deep dude flopped the nuts w/ 88 on 832 board.

in the QQ hand where i flatted preflop, dude turned the nut straight.

in the JJ hand where i flat the 4bet, dude had 36hh and rivered 2pr...

i wont give info on the 88hand since it seems to be still up for discussion
