Bet pot on the river and just call a raise. Unless you think he's really out to get you or tilting hard, river is a standard fold when he pushes.

Aaargh. Can't stand that 3rd bet on the river, especially given the situation (the info from the destacking would be helpful - was it all in pf? did he show willingness to play for the stacks w/o nuts postflop??).

Calling the push has got to be -ev.
Then again, there's rly only 3 hands he's limping utg that beat u here - 33, 44, TT (assuming you can rule out KK, 34 and of course K4, T4) - if you know him well enough to rule out TT, how much difference does that make?
You said he was aggro postflop - would he really just min raise the nuts or 3rd nuts on the flop and then fail to extract value on the turn?

You just destacked him and he has a chance to get some chips back if the K hit you, if you're holding any other PP, or if you're drawing (he's got to have you on PP or draw)...Wouldn't he at least want to build a pot?

The flop raise is starting to smell more like QJ s type holding.
That would make the min raise on the riv a sheer value raise, and the push a scared one.

I'd say that this is actually close.

I actually didn't destack him, my memory was wrong, I got 70bb off him though. flop + turn was all low rainbow, couple bets+calls. River is a queen, I bet 25bb, he minraises, I call, he flips aq. His playing degenerated a little bit after this.

He was just loose/bad enough where i really need to strongly consider calling, but how ballsy his raise would be if he just has a flush or whatever. i think i hate this hand, and should've potted the river and called a raise.

I can see a 100NL fish going all in with a lower flush, so the way it played out I'd call if he was fishy enough to do that But yeah, potting river and calling raise would have been nicer

I also think this is a close call, one that I'm probably making considering how the hand developed. You bet the flop and he min-raised you. If he has 33 or 44 he is not going to reraise you here.

The only hands that beat you are TT, K4, T4, or a lower flush. It is not likely that he would limp with K4/T4 unless he is really bad, and he probably won't limp TT here either.

I really think you have to bet more on the river and just call a reraise, though.

i like metaxy's analysis. i think you have the best hand here. although, 33 could really be feasible here. if he was solid enough to be putting you on a flush draw, i could see why he would check the turn and reraise the river after you reraiseed him.

it's tough to put him on a hand after his minraise of your bet on the flop as well. it could be for value, as he knows you will call it anyway, and he could be limping with 34s or 45s in this hand.

the turn bothers me, but i see people online "slow down" all the time when they have monsters (nuts) in hopes of letting a further street allow their opponent to make a hand.

the more that i think about it, i think you have to call here. the odds of him having a set are just as good as having a boat.

3 bet donk the river why dont you...

call the reraise if he has the fh you lose less (line suggests its a possiblity) but you only lose a little value against a worse flush.

Saying that you suggest opp overvalues his hand and may be on a little tilt? Long term calling the river raise is the best play imo however the way played im calling that river i think...
