This is horrible.

I just c/f the flop. Leading is better than c/c though obv.

I'd do this at the very worst with AdKx or AxKd.
Check out the new blog!!!

You don't think his flop raising range is like 80% air/flush draws?

you're completely SMOKEEEED by his calling range.

Best case he calls you with a FD, in which case he has 15 outs to a pair or flush as well as any Q to counterfeit your pair.

Worst case he has a strong Q or 6 and then what...?

ugh, make these moves with outs against his calling range at least!

vs his calling range:

Board: 6s Qd 6d
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 09.880% 09.73% 00.15% 4429 70.50 { 2c2s }
Hand 1: 90.120% 89.96% 00.15% 40970 70.50 { KK+, QcQh, AdKd, AQs, KQs, JdTd, Td9d, 86s, 76s, 65s, AQo, KQo }

uhhhh... bad?

Just fold preflop. You are sitting on the lowest pair out of position and at best your are 50/50 with his range of hands. I just see way to many difficult decisions ahead for you playing pairs this small OOP. The situation u have found urself in is losing your entire stack (potentially) to someone who has shown nothing but strength so far in the hand. He isnt putting you on a 6 thats for sure as surely you would check a 6 to the raiser and let them bet here.

I dont know if this will be of any help to you, but it was of huge help to me when i started playing shorthand...

The 3 biggest pieces of advice i got were loosen up, downgrade the value of your drawing hands and focus heavily on position. Small pairs 22-77 are drawing hands, which play best in multiway pots. Or if you are going to play them in here, raise from the CO or BTN, i will never flat call in the blinds against a PF raiser with a hand like this, your only 2 plays here are to fold (most of the time) or re-raise now to find out where hes really at, but again i dont see any long term EV in playing 22 OOP against a single raiser at 5 max.

Crazy play all right. But, how did it go eventually? Since you posted it I think he fell for your bluff with AQ raised a bit too heavy, or more likely AA/KK. With QQ, of course, you'd be dust...

Apart from that I agree with the above... Would have folded it preflop.

Sure i do, but its never a bad time to review what you are doing and go back to basic poker fundamentals.

I play a lot of shorthand, and from my perspective it seems like a fair view players are literally losing their minds with the wild plays they are trying to pull off.

That was in no way an attempt to patronize or undermine the guys strategy. My only real point was that back to basics is not a bad thing in certain spots.

i call/raise all small pairs for a standard raise, in any position. Your saying this is a leak? I think the call PF with 2's here is perfectly fine.

i get the idea, he's definitely raising this flop too much and you want to do something about it. Just don't lead the flop with this hand so you feel you have to do this

Yeah you're right it's a valid idea but a bad example of the practice.

It probably is a leak tbh. My implied odds aren't that great.

Turn: ($796, 2 players)

River: ($796, 2 players)

Final Pot: $796
Hero shows:

Hero wins $793 ( won +$397 )
CO lost -$396.00

idk what he had though. I bet it was better than 22.

Big cards have fewer outs and you might get a smaller pair to call you down.
