I've only played about 8,700 hands of 50NL. Do you think I should move back down to 25NL for awhile? It could just be a normal downswing (running bad) but my BR is now $1700 and I'm afraid it won't last very long if I keep dropping 4 buy-ins a day.
My first reaction was to just withdraw my money our of frustration, but I'm thinking the smarter thing to do is to drop down and see if it's my game or my luck.
Thoughts?

anything that steep of a drop off is more than just a normal downswing. looks more like downswing+tilt.
do a lot of reading on here, re-read the beginners circle of death, and post HH's.
You will get back up there, it will just take time & patience.

Thanks for the advice. I'm gonna take a fresh look tomorrow, and try to find some hands to post.

Dropping 10 buyins is not -that- rare.

I havent dropped 10 buyins in a real long time, and it happened not because I was running bad. It is rare enough that when it does happen dropping down wouldn't necessarily be the worst thing to do.
