i cant see any bluff that would bet the 6, call my raise, and shove the river. hate to drop overpairs, at this level, but it had to be the correct play, right? absolutely no reads on opponent, at this point.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
UTG ($7)
MP ($15.15)
Hero ($9.85)
SB ($6.35)
BB ($10.10)
Preflop: Hero is Button with A , A .
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.4, 1 fold, BB calls $0.30.
Flop: ($0.85) 4 , T , K (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.6, BB calls $0.60.
Turn: ($2.05) 6 (2 players)
BB bets $1, Hero raises to $3.5, BB calls $2.50.
River: ($9.05) 4 (2 players)
BB bets $5.6 (All-In), Hero folds.
Final Pot: $3.45
turned out he was rather aggressive...definitely most active at table. but, that has to be the kind of line that gets maniacs paid off.

I call here. If you think he's aggro isn't he 3-betting 1010 or KK pre. That leaves 44 which seems unlikely. That leaves K10, AK, KQ,KJ,Kx, or some PP. A big draw looks unlikely, so you must be ahead of his range enough for this to be +EV.

If I'm going to raise the turn, I raise it harder to about $4.50, at which point you would definitely have to call any river push.
As played, I think I still call, though I expect to be behind here fairly often. The pot odds are decent, and if nothing else, we call and get a read for next time.

Folding is fine this is a flush way too often.

i just cant see raising to "commit yourself to the river." that sounds silly, to me.
when he led the dollar into a $2 pot, i thought he had to hit the 6 to make a set. or, it was a blocking bet for his flush draw. my raise was sized to take his odds to chase away, which it did. i raised $2.50 into $3. he had to call $2.50 into $6.50 with one card to come. he's only getting 2.5:1.
if its the set, he would likely push over my raise. if its the flush draw, so be it. but, since the flush hit, and he sort of repped that 6, the river push became a fold to me. its most likely one or the other. the aggression told me i wasnt best.
if that flush card didnt hit, i may have called to see the pair of 6's that peeled.
i dont feel that i should raise it more on the turn and drive off something that is beat. i just need to make sure you cannot draw profitably. AK, KQ, KJ are hands that may think i was betting my draw on the flop, and am now trying to bluff. besides, i dont want myself committed to this hand too early. QJ and 2 clubs are possibly still coming along, unprofitably, but they are coming.
if he value bets the river, i call in a flash, though.
thats the thought process. i just needed to hear it wasnt necessarily weak/tight to fold the river with an overpair.
