Very first hand at table. Slapped wrist for no threebet but what next on flop?

If u have no read on CO being overly aggressive on flop/loose preflop raiser i will muck this. U asked a question with the lead - and got the answer, ur hand is no g00d. CO raising ur lead with button behind him and SB calling his rr are additional factors to muck the hand imo. Of course 3-bet pf is standard as u said.

Fold; even if one of them has a draw you've still got the other one to worry about.

I think your maybe ahead, but have to fold anyhow.
The raiser's representing either a pair (probally better than Jacks), or maybe AK /AQ / AT / KT. The caller probally has a draw. What can you do now though? The turn's unlikely to make the hand any easier to play.
Imo it's fold, or allin and 1st hand I would fold.

why cant SB be holding a set, and slowplaying it. seems i see that a lot.
i agree, though, that you are quite possibly ahead, but have no idea by the way its played. time to get out. if HU, i prolly give it a go. but, when the SB jumps in and cold calls the RR, i get out.
however, the flop bet was also mandatory, imo.
say all the cards come blank, and your JJ is still an overpair. you have 4 players seeing the flop and none of them 3bet, either. original raiser is the only one likely to have QQ+, imo. if the original raiser and I make it to the river, is my lead a "thin valuebet," conceptually speaking?

Why can't SB be holding a set?
Either opponent could easily be holding a set. You have to either decide it's marginal enough that the money already in the pot makes a shove viable with JJ and your opponents as only say 52% favourites, or fold.

most of the time when you see a player do what the SB did on a board like this you're gonna see TP or a draw, of course sometimes you'll see a set but not often.
