Not open betting the flop is where things went wrong. Calling pre was not bad.

Continue checking the turn. I know it's weak but opp has given very little reason for you to believe he limps crap cards. Your river check give you no info on what his 1600 bet means other than he knows that you took a stab on the turn and missed.

After several pushes this kind of move is getting dangerous. Then again, he hasn't looked you up so I can understand the aggression.

Tough spot. 2:1, although after this many hands it has taken him this long to reraise, I'd say he's probably not on a resteal. I'd probably end up folding and tightening up slightly on your preflop raising range, being more comfortable with a call if you had a hand that wasn't so easily dominated or a 2:1 dog.

Easy push. He should have called for sure with that those kinds of odds. I'd be pusing any two in this spot.

Minbet the turn, you'd be surprised how often you get a fold.

I'd say yes. opponent is still playing way too tight and is not adjusting well to your aggression.

ditto, even more so this time because of lower M.

Interestingly enough I'd say no push here. Factors: M is higher now, maybe opponent is finally getting a little wise to your ways.

Thanks for the input Saucy. If I had to point to one hand that I think cost me the win it was 35. As soon as I hit call I knew it was a mistake, then when his cards flipped over I kicked myself again.

35 was a marginal mistake. I like the raise preflop but the call was borderline. I don't think it was a huge mistake to call when you look at it in terms of $EV. There really weren't any major problems. Just a small accumulation of issues. You'll note at the end that he's willing to call your preflop 5x push with Q9. He went the patient route, and you went the aggressive route. No one way is precisely correct.

I love late game sng heads up. It seems like a crap shoot in any given game, but over time you can see trends in how many 1st vs 2nds you have. To me a good heads up game is one that adapts to the player. In order to be a better heads up player than your opponent, you just need to adapt quicker to his play than he does to yours.

That is a good observation and I even thought afterwards that I should have slightly tightened up my pushing range when I noticed that he was calling me down with a wider range.
